Trying to trace ex patients and staff..

I was in Queen Mary's throughout the 1980's and was wondering what happened to two people I met on the wards. One was a patient that I was often on the same ward with when I was in hospital numerous times for asthma. I can't remember the exact name of the ward, but I think it was something like B 5. I only remember her first name which was Stacy and she had a condition that meant she was deaf and I seem to remember she had problems speaking too and used sign language. I think she would be around 34/35 years old now. I always wonder what happened to her as I have fond memories of her always making jokes especially behind some nurses backs. But she was a character.
The other was a nurse I frequently had when I went in who was always lovely and I don't remember her name the only thing I do remember is that she had long, blond hair down to her waist. I think she was also on ward B5. Or B something.
I'd be grateful if anyone could help with any information.
thanks
Francesca

Stacy

I remember Stacy from her time on B2. She taught me to sign..." I love you"....
I always remember how she hated having suction through her tracheostomy ...All the nurses loved her!
It would be lovely to hear how she got on.
Best wishes

B wards!

Hi Francesca. Stacy was on ward B3 for a while, and later would sometimes be admitted to B2, which was a medical ward where we had lots of children with asthma. Perhaps that's the one you remember her from? I remember her well and would also love to know how she got on in later life.

I'm trying to think who the nurse was that you remember. Did she wear a green dress? If so, that might have been Julie Ellison (I think - it's been a long time!) She certainly had long blonde hair.

Sue Bas - I remember you! In fact I think I have a photo of you taken one Christmas, if I ever find it I'll scan it and share on here. I was Sue Summers back then - a student nurse in the mid 80's and a staff nurse on B2 for a while.

Hi Francesca
Yes I remember Stacy too. Whata darling!! I nursed Stacy for many years. If you manage to find her, please send her my love. She was such a brave girl.
