I was a patient for two years 1942 - 44, and again 46 for one year, and some
further stays after that. I was in the scout troop while a patient, and was also christened and confirmed in the church.
I also remembered that my first stay was in ward B1, all the others were in B3. B5 & 6 were bombed I think. [Ed: the hospital was bombed in air raids, WW2]
One nurse I remember was Cynthia Neary, I new her when she was a student up to a staff nurse. I think another Sister's name was Gorman. The consultant orthopedic surgeon was Mr. Thomas, who was also at a hospital in Balham.
