Hi My name is Mandy Bartram (nee Mcleod)
I completed my SEN training at QMH in 1981, and then went on to work on A3 Med/surg for about 10 months before I moved to Australia.
I have very fond memories of my time at QMH. I was one of only a few that did not live in the nurses home during traing, so missed out on all the antics that went on there.
I use to come in the back gate in the morning and if I was to early it would still be locked and I would have to cycle round to the front..
I remeber the hours spent learning to fold the hats, and then having to use about 12 clips to try and keep it on. More often than not it was on a wonk. I remeber the old steam tents, and my hat turning to mush after spending a shift in and out of them.
Other memories include, the little electric ambulances used to take the children to xray, or theatre, very long dark night shifts, 12hrs in a block of 7.
I had the happiest of times there and unfortunatley have lost contact with all but one other student, so I would love to here from any of them.
Ill keep in touch, I have some group photos, I will need to get them scaned so I can put them up.
Regards
Mandy

Hi Sue, you have done a brilliant job setting the web site up, who thought that when reunions at QMH came to an end we would be able to commuicate electronically - what progress eh!! Would be really please to hear of any other reprobates joining in. The gathering last year was really great you can all come to Devon if you like! ,Keep up the good communicating work, Jan
