I was a patient in 1954, then 1962 and 1966, and various other times. Polio.
Mr Metcalf was my consultant. Sister Mackie (MacKay?) our ward sister on some  wards.
I am interested in finding more history etc.

Hello Stephen,

My name is Nabil Shaban. I see you were at QM around the time I was, and you had the same ward sister, Sister Mackay (I have posted a couple of photos of her on this site), as me, so you must have been in Ward D2 same as me, and also the same consultant, Mr. Metcalf. i particularly remember him because every Christmas, he would bring his boxer dog on the ward, which I loved. I have always been a dog lover from that time (well, I love all animals. I prefer them to humans). Do you remember me at all? I have put loads of photos on the site, maybe there's a picture of you?

P.S. Interesting about the Rolling Stones visiting Winter 63. Unfortunately, I had left QM by end of 62, so I missed out on that amazing treat. I love the Stones, as as the Beatles, of course.
