Those were the days

I remember you and your set - well some of you!
Those were the days when nursing was real nursing and when you had time to talk to the children.
THe uniform made you feel like a nurse!
These days I wear 'scrubs'.
How are you all?
Diane.

Hi Diane

Hi Diane, Good to hear from you. I agree that nursing has changed and certainly not for the better! A shame it isn't the same today we wouldn't have so many super bugs. We knew how to wash our hands and clean a ward! I don't work as a nurse now, I went on to do a degree in Psychology and now run a local children's centre. I keep in touch with Carrie Harris and have linked with Jean Blackburn and Cilla Fitchett on facebook. Not sure if you remember Judy Hammond? She was in the set above me and went to Tonbridge Wells to do her general. I lost contact with her after that.
