Nursing Alumnae of Queen Mary's Hospital for Children

The '100 years of Queen Marys' is currently on at Honeywood Lodge, by the Ponds in Carshalton. (opp. the Greyhound pub!!) and is continuing until December.

We are holding a QM Fete on 22nd August 12-4pm at the Sutton Arena,(opp St.Hellier Hosp) as part of the centenary celebrations. There is also an exhibition opening at Honeywood Lodge by Carshalton Ponds. 100 years of Queen Marys.
If anyone has any 'photos or memorabilia we would love to se them. If you copuld send them to me at 14,Beeches Walk, Carshalton Beeches SM5 4JT. Photocopies might be better as photos are so precious.

What a wonderful afternoon we had on 29th Jan. to celebrate QM's 100th anniversary. Sue Collis and her team organised it so well and at such short notice too. The 29th was the actual day that QM opened its doors in 1909. There were so many 'old faces' and as you can imagine lots and lots of chat!. A summer fete is going to be organised at the Sutton Arena(opp. St Helier) on 22nd August and there will be an Exhibition of '100 years of Q.M.' in Honeywood Lodge by the ponds in Carshalton to coinside with the fete. Any old photos' will be welcome. So please come and let any of your QM.

I trained at QM 1962-65 and returned in 1973- 1990 as a Night Sister. I took over from Matron Jones as Pres. of the Nurses League until it folded.
