I was a patient from August 1967 to January 1968 and have fond memories of fellow patients Theresa Green and Kay Strachn amongst many others.
Also of lovely nurses Anne Smith, Maria Etherington, Nurse Vogel together with ghastly memories of Sister Granger who seemed to disapprove of everyone & everything!
I was a patient at Queens Mary's hospital between 1938-1945 and again between 1947-1949.I was on ward B4.
I was 3 years old when I was first admitted with a TB hip. I spent the whole of the war years there except for a short spell at Durham where we were transfered because of the flying bombs.

Hello, I am the manager of Leapfrog Day Nursery in Carshalton and our nursery is situated in the old hospital chapel.
We are celebrating our 10th birthday this year and would really like to include some history in to our day.
Unfortunately, I arrived at the nursery just as the last of the houses were put up so have little recollection of what the area looked like before the property developers moved in!

Sue [Hadley],
I haven't had any luck finding anyone from my time at QMH.
Vickie and Susan left QMH earlier than I did.
I was in touch with Vicki for some years then lost contact. I hope that someone will recognise the additional names, and contact me.
Hi,
I attended the Re-Union last summer and sent photos for display at Honeywood Museum. What has happened to the photos and can they be added to the website?
Many thanks,
Rosemary Buckett. ( nee. Whitcher )

My mum was Night Sister at QMCH around the above dates.
She was full-time night Sister but I think had a period on days, when I and my brothers were little (around mid-60’s).
She was very close to a lady called Linda Riley, who I think remained in ‘Christmas Card Contact’ until my mother sadly died (Feb 2008).

Hello – if anyone knows of Angela San Antonio who was doing her nurse’s training in the early 1960s (she came over from Spain) I would be so pleased to make contact with you.
My father Martin Fiquiera (not sure about exact spelling of his name) was completing his dentistry studies at the same time at Queen Mary’s Hospital for Children.
If any can share any information about these two former staff members I would be so happy to hear from you.
To all members,
We have had a request for historical medical records for Queen Mary's in order to help with a former patient's current health problems. Can anyone help with this?
Thanks [webmaster]
Here is the text of the member's message:

My mum Peggy Chapman (ne Simmons )worked at the hospital at night as a
cleaner and my nan (Win Simmons) worked in the laundry in the 1960s.
I remember as a child the street parade up Stanley Road and going into the
hospital grounds, and the fair which ran every year was the highlight for
me.
I was very sad to see that houses had been build on the the grounds, and
that some of the buildings were gone.
I will find a photo i have of my Nan in the laundry.
